Steve Jobs or Bill Gates. Who would make a better U.S. president?

Steve Jobs would do it first and create an insanely great political system that would fail to have mass appeal. Then Bill Gates would be president next and copy parts of Jobs' presidency to make a new political system that is half as good and a hundred times more popular.

Bill Gates is moving part of his company to Canada to avoid regulations in the U.S. How American is that?

One should be pres. & the other v.p. - it doesn' t matter,
the American financial situation would improve in months,

Gates is such a wimp. And if you think the federal government is bad now, God help us if Gates tries to reorganize it to work like Microsoft.

We'd have FedGov version 1.0 which wouldn't do anything.
A few years later, he'd release FedGov 3.0, to be followed by the 3.11 update. That would work, but just barely.

Then he'd shelve everything and release FedGov '12, a more useful version of the government that has little legacy compatibility with previous versions. He'll add a smiley face UI to it called Bob...

Two years later, he'll release FedGov '14, which won't improve much, but he'll get more taxes for it anyway.

You get the picture...
