Anybody know anything about online healthcare degrees to be specific-masters of occupational therapy degree?!? |
I wanted to know if it would be possible for me to get a master's degree in Occupational Therapy online? And if so, is it legitimate? Would the degree be widely accepted and would I be able to make what people who went to an actual school make? How long would it take and would it be hard to do while trying to work? Would I be able to get an actual job? Is there anyone who have actually did online degree programs, if so, in what and how is it working out? What schools offer online degrees in Master of Science Occupational Therapy or the MOT? Any REAL feedback would really be appreciated I am working on a Master's in Adult Education online, but for Occupational Therapy you would be better off in a face-to-face program or an online one that combines courses online and field experience in a work setting. So long as the college/university you choose is regionally accredited and their online programs are regionally accredited and have online approval from a national institution your degree will be the same as others' in that area. Well, other than those questions, my own question is... who is your lab partner? Who is going to critique your ability? Occupational therapy is a hands on profession, you need to learn it hands on and have the patient duplicate your actions. I don't think OT or Masters of OT is something you can learn online. I think Shenandoah University has changed their program so that 70% is online - if I rememebr correctly. Check out the webpage. YES, they are legit! HOWEVER, they are only for people who already have a BSOT, and want their masters. You can not become an OT with just online courses!! |
