Sales job that paid on a draw/commission scale-How can I list this simply and effectively on a resume?


Salespeople will know what I mean..I once worked for a company that paid $850 minimum, no matter what. If sales exceeded this, I was paid a percentage, varying from 5-7% plus other bonuses. If sales were below $850 in commission, I was paid, but the amount under was deducted from the next check.

What is this called? A draw versus commission scale? Something else?

Good idea, #1, but this company requires salary history. Otherwise, I'd never add it.

I understand totally what you're saying. My other suggestion is not to offer details of the structure as you would know, like any salesperson, you would want to make it as attractive as possible and not leave money in the table.
