Getting Along With A Clothes'a'holic Sister?

My sister (going on 16) has 13 pairs of shoes. I, going on 20, have 3. My sister has 25 shirts (including the one she just begged me to buy because it was on sale). I hate it whenever we go to the mall because we always end up fighting. I have a job and get money. She doesn`t. I don`t like to spend money on shirts and stuff if I don`t need them. She`ll wear a pair of shoes for a month and then say they`re too tight and make mom get her a new pair. I`ve worn my sneakers for 8 years already. She always says 'Look at the world, Lisa. Everyone wears this. You should too.' But I hate giving into fads that last a month and then change. It wastes money and gets me irritated that I can never catch up with the 'beautiful popular girls' of today. Is there something wrong with me? How can we get along?

actually, no. there's nothing wrong with you. there's something wrong with her. your sister needs to open her eyes and realize that these are all material things and when she gets to your age, she'll realize how foolish that she was. she seems to be one of those people that if somebody will pay for something, she wants it; but if she has to pay for an item, she doesn't want it. hopefully she'll outgrow this stage and open her eyes.

hek no!!!!!!!!!! there is nothing wrong with you!!! i do the same thing. its annoying when peole do that (my sister duz) because it pressures you! and thats not fair to you as a person if you dont want to. do what you want b/c that determines who you are... not the clothes you wear.
