I want to get into a sales job selling cars.....any advice? You have to have the "sales" type of personality. You gotta be able to communicate effectively and build or maintain relationships with the customers, and not feel the slightest discouragement form many possible setbacks and rejections. You must be able to read people, understand their needs, and adapt different approaches accordingly. Most importantly you gotta learn as much as you can about the automobile market, and the competitive features of each car. If you think you got what it takes then go for it. With the right attitude and knowledge you can make A LOT of money!!!! Be prepared to work nights and weekends, you have to be available when other people are off work. Have you had any other sales jobs before? Go to a car dealer and ask what qualities they are looking for.
