Whichever part-time jobs I may get in Melbourne, Australia?

I am planning to go to melbourne to study 2 years' Diploma in Community Welfare. I am a general nurse with 5 years experience. Whichever part-time jobs I may get there? And also I wish to know how much salary I may get for the jobs? This is for my personal calculation. What are the minimum salary for jobs there?

As an international student, you can apply for a work permit once you have arrived in Australia. You can only work max 20hrs/week during semester study period, and full-time only during semester break period. Therefore as you can imagine, it is quite obvious that you cannot rely on the income in Australia to cover your living expenses.

The university (usually in public notice board or student union) may be able to help with part-time jobs. With your qualifications, you might also apply for part-time jobs in nursing homes, but you will have to got a police report.

Salary for part-time casual workers varies from AUD$16-$25/hr gross. You will also need to apply for Tax File Number (TFN). However your college will usually inform you on your orientation day anyway.
