Is there an unequal opportunity for me and what can I do?

I applied at Buckle for a part time job. I called and made an appointment for Monday. Then, when I got there they were unable to get my information from online, so they wasted my time. I rescheduled to come back on Wednesday, but this time the manager was not there and he was the one I scheduled it with. It is upsetting because the 1st time that I made an appointment, the manager was interviewing another person. I don't know if its discrimination and I feel its unequal.

One of the workers told me that is his day off. I don't mind, but he could have called me and informed me.

Something might have come up so he couldn't make it there. If you made the appointment to see him then he would have been planning on being there. Lots of places do interviews with more than one person conducting them. Just do your best to impress whoever is interviewing you.

In a classified ad if it says "apply in person" then it means that if you are fat, old or ugly you will be told the position has been filled. It is only discrimination if you can prove that they didn't hire you because of your gender, race, religion or nationality. The Equal Employment Opportunity Commision is who you would conttact to launch a complaint. Do you really want to work for a place where the management is this screwed up?
