Fathers rights?

I am 17 yrs old, the first time I had sex was two months outside my 16th birthday... she was 17, very near 18. She got pregnant. She moved away with her parents, and came back for a visit after the baby was born for a very short visit. Me and my family were able to spend some time with the baby at that time. I am a student and only have a part time job, so I am unable to sent any money. She is returning home again in a few weeks, and she tells me, I can only see my baby when she says so and that it will not be very much and that she has rules as to his sleeping and such that I and my parents must abide too. She is calling all the shots in me seeing my baby. Do I have any say in this matter at all. Please let me know. I will in Canada.

You need to take her to court and get visitation and custody established.

yes you have a say in it but you have to take her to court to get visitation and you need to give money for support and if you don't have that much money go to legal aid

Should have used a condom. You have rights but you gotta go to court. Sounds to me you ran into stupid selfish chick like all the rest of the dudes that have babies mamma's. And getting married won't help anything, it will only make her get more evil.

I would go and see a solicitor. You have rights and if you wan to be part of the babys life then go for it.

Look, love doesn't pay for your baby's needs. You might be a father by biology, anyone can do that. But if she's taking care of the kid and feeding him when you can't give one cent then it is ok for her to call the shots. It is unfair for you to complain about a baby you're not supporting. Why don't you get a full time job. I'm a full-time student and a full-time employee, it can be done.. Don't make excuses and take care of your responsibilities.

If you want to have the right to see "your" baby, you should demand that a DNA paternity test be done.
Be warned, once it's established that you are in deed the father, you will be expected (forced by law) to pay child support.
