British Nurse going to work in the US (Texas)? |
I'm a student nurse not due to qualify until 2010. but my husband has been given the opportunity to move out to America with work. They've also said that they're willing to wait until 2010. I was just wondering how easy it is to find nursing jobs in Texas, and what additional qualifications I would need to work over there. Anyone ever moved out there? Not even as a nurse such advice in general, costs of living, house prices, general income, communities, things like that! I answered a question you posted in another section and suggested you ask about the specific city or area where you expect to live. Cost of living, etc. varies (not all of Texas is the same). if you are not qualified, your up to date references and qualifications to date,ie college where you work all helps, you will most certainly be granted education in your field Have a look through the Nursing Times publication or if you knew a nurse who is a member of RCN receiving RCN publication, there's a lot of job offer for US. And I heard there is a lot of job interview, presentation in leading hotel, convention centre in London and main city throughout UK. So, they've got a lot of advice to offer you and opportunities and overview of specific state in US. Good luck. |
