Which is a much better job? A nurse or a radiologist? |
I'm about to attend college and I'm choosing from this two, I am from the philippines and when I'm done studying here I am to work abroad in the U.S. so in terms of the job overview, time spent, salary, etc. which is better? Hope you guyz can help me out coz this is for my future... thx I would thing the radiologist would pay better but nurses are always in demand so there is more of a job security there. I would go with whichever you think you would enjoy doing more. radiologist has much better hours and less stress, i would pursue that I don't know, but I do know there's a shortage of nurses and it seems to me to be a rewarding profession, although I'm not sure of the extent to which it might involve more stress. You have a big heart, tolerance to clear a bed pan... go for the nursing course. Otherwise, stick to the x-rays, and it pays better. Well my friend, I rather suggest u be a radiologist, in this way u can prove u skills (some guys have good technical sense) and while u r working as a radiologist, upgrade yourself by doing vocational courses related to ur field, well its up to u all the best for future. A radiologist would be a much better job, but takes a heck of a lot more schooling. If you had to choose between a radiology tech. and a nurse, that would be a little bit more difficult decision. Nurses make more money, but radiology technicians have a lot less stress and don't have to wipe butts or clean up vomit or mucous. A traveling nurse can start out at$60,000 a year or more. But nursing is a high stress job and I think it takes a special person to do it. Nurses usually start out on the night shifts and you have to work weekends. Try working as a nursing assistant before you do decide if you want to be a nurse. Nursing jobs will always be in high demand. |
