Which job is considered better registered nurse or elementary school teacher?

im torn between 2 very different careers. for some reason I cant decide what to? like which job has more respect. would it look better to be a teacher or nurse. which one has a higher salary?

Depends on the area you seek employment in. In my area there is a much larger demand for registered nurses than teachers & nurses get higher wages. It's my opinion however, based on what I see in my area, that neither gets the respect they deserve. Personally, I for one, wouldn't want to spend everyday of the week in a room full of todays unruley kids but neither would I want to deal with some of the gross tasks nurses encounter! But SOMEbody has to do these jobs so I highly commend you for entering whichever of these 2 field you choose! Good Luck!

I really would not concern myself with how prestigious a career is to other people. My recommendation is to consider what you will be better at. Which career will have more meaning in your life. I am a teacher and enjoy what I do. However, I have friends that are R.N.'S and they make more money than I do and can almost CHOOSE where and when they work. If I COULD have been a nurse, I probably would have. I just could NOT do the things that they MUST do. Good luck!!

A nurse would probably be more of a demanding job.
depends on where ur livining. In America,nursing is considered a great career and of course u wud be making a lot more money being a nurse than a teacher. However, for me, as I'm currently living in Egypt, nursing is considered a very bad career and ppl think very bad of nurses (most think they're whores, sorry) but that's Egypt... I'm a teacher here in Egypt and the teaching job is considered a very high career and teacher make a lot of money especially those who give private tutoring outside the school. I make a lot more money than most teachers in Egypt though, but that's because I got my degree from USA. However, the good option in teaching for u is that u will have the whole summer off where u can have time to travel and go on long vacations (a great option for me as i travel a lot) but still, u wont be getting paid for those months off. so think abt it and consider whats a better option for u. I think for u, both jobs are great, so just see what u like better and what suits u well

But nurse's job will require you work evenings, nights, and week ends. And the job can be very stressful.

If you are married, and your husband makes good money, you can enjoy your life as a teacher. There is nothing better than being surrounded by beautiful little boys and girls all your life.
