How do doctors/nurses get their jobs?

do they just walk into a hospital and ask?

Nurses can apply online or walk in and talk to the nurse recruiter. To get hired as a registered nurse, you need to take and pass the NCLEX. If you're a nurse who's just graduating, the nurse recruiter may even come to you and your classmates at the school. Source(s): I'm a nursing student.
You need education to be doctor and nurse. then you take a test provided by the government. If you pass you get a license then you can apply for a job.
I am sure they apply just like everyone else does.
Doctors study for almost 10 ten years to become a full doctor.
When you attend the schooling for those jobs you get offers from various places as you get close to graduation. They can also send in their resumes to the hospital admin for consideration for employment. It's like any other job only you have to have the schooling to get the job.
First of all doctors and nurses need to complete the required education for their chosen careers. Then they need to pass that state boards (tests) to get a license in the state they plan to work in.

Then they need to fill in an application at the hospital where they want to work. Sometimes Doctors get offers from other hospitals, which means the hospital that wants the doctor to work for them, give him an offer to come and work for them.
