I'm looking for info on med-surg nursing. Basic info, certification, jobs $, qualifications. Please help!!!!
Well you typical need a BA and being a RN will get you working on the med surg floor in the hospital. Pay range depends on the hospital and your location. Small areas 20-35 an hour. Like Chicago it 25 to 40 an hour but you have to put in some serious time to get up to 40. If you are interested in the surgical aspect like the O.R you can be a RN and circulate the room open sterile supplies and charting during a surgical procedure. Or there is Surgical Technologist which assets in the the procedure and can be the right hand man/women for the surgeon. Often maintaing sterile field and handing him/her the appropiate instruments to get the case done. Iam in the medical field thats how I know. Hope I could help. |
