If you are a felony, can you become a nurse and get a job.? I think it depends what the charges are. You will still be able to get your nursing degree and certs, but as for employment that could be a little hard. You may not be able to be hired by a hospital, but a private dr's office may hire you, they generally don't do criminal checks or you may be able to go with an agency for placement. Before you invest in school look into this and see so that you don't waste money down the drain. You may also want to talk to an attorney they may be able to have the charges reduced or removed from your record or even sealed so that they cannot be accessible. Good Luck. I do not think one can be a nurse with a felony conviction. It might depend on the state. Kevin You mean felon? Try grasping grammer and spelling before becoming a nurse. I agree with evilangel. And I think it depends on what the felony was. Did you try killing someone? I think it depends on the crime you committed because they do a background check in that field. But Felons can go to school. They just may not get any help financially from the Government. If you have been convicted of a felony and have paid your debt to Society, you should be able to petition the Court to have your felony record expunged. You should be able to get a job anywhere except a Government job. The Constitution forbids that. U.S. Constitution |
