Any suggestions on how my mom, who is a Registered Nurse, but has been out of work for 20 years can find a job |
My mom got her Nursing Degree and worked for a few years but then my father started making enough money to where my mom didnt have to work.....My father recently died in a tragic accident and my mom has used up all the insurance money and now she is forced to find a job or we will have to sell the family farm......I want to do whatever I can to help her but it is very hard for her because she hasnt worked for so long no one even wants to give her a chance....please help! Nurses are in HIGH demand all over the country. All she needs is a current license. To get that license she will need to brush up on her nursing and take her tests again and probably some updated training seminars. Once that is obtained she is golden, and should not have any problems. lign="right" > Sign in to vote! My deepest sympathies to your mom & you on the loss of your husband/father. Your mom needs to do a new resume, then go to your nearest employment agency, to apply for a job. Also, watch the ads in the newspapers. I hear there are a shortage of nurses in our country, so hopefully, your mom won't have a problem finding a job. Someone will give your mom a chance, you both need to have faith. It's great that you are doing whatever you can to help your mom find a job. She must be very proud of you. Good luck to your mom. lign="right" > Sign in to vote! she needs to update her current state license- they offer courses and certification at alot of colleges- check in your area lign="right" > Sign in to vote! lass="explain-text">Sometimes none of the answers get it just right.
