Why can I get a 9/5 job nursing? |
Fully trained nurse really cares have worked for NHS most of my life now work in the Prison services but really feel i am being deskilled anyone any jobs in Edinburgh Try the scottish health website www.show.scot.nhs.uk I'm a practice nurse and it's fab Mon-Fri 9-5 mainly running clinics chronic disease management sexual health etc and the moneys not bad usually F grade and above look in the nursing times or on the hospitals own websites Consider a job in a hospital department which maintians specific hours...endoscopy, ambulatory care, etc. They typically pay a little less, but have the "nice" hours. dear moe, Most public school systems have nurses in their employ. These are 9 to 5; or eight to 4. If you have a masters you could also teach. Don't mean to sound like an under-appreciated, over-worked, generally f***ed off moaner, BUT you'll be lucky to find any job within the NHS at the moment. I have been looking and due to pretty much nationwide job freeze/shortage it's nearly impossible! Even if not within NHS, there are loads of applicants due to us all trying to get out before the NHS inevitably collapses! But good luck! I am also a nurse and you can work in a office with office hrs. doing MDS paper work, usually always with weekends off. It is very interesting work. How about out-patients department? they tend to work 9 til 5. Only know this cos I'm thinking of going into nursing myself (A&E) |
