I have finished all nursing prerequisites- does it qualify me for any jobs? |
I finished Micro, Anatomy, Physio, Nutrition, Chem, English 1A/ 1B, Algebra, Sociology, Speech, Psych, and a few others. My question is: does this qualify me for a position within the health care field? Or get me close to something? I live in the bay area and the nursing programs are so impacted that I may be waiting a long time. Do I have any options? you should have been required to take your cna classes too prior to entering the nursing program. this would qualify you for a nursing assistant position which is great b/c it gives you on the floor experience. you could also work in registration, transport, or as a unit secretary. the unit secretary job is good too b/c you work on the floor entering doctor's orders-so it gets you used to what to expect as a nurse. check with your local hospital about any of the jobs i just explained to you-good luck Source(s): i work in trauma icu I bet if you interviewed the right way, you could get a Medical Assistant job in a private practice. IF you can give injections, draw blood, etc. Good luck to you and congrats....let me know how it goes. I am xray tech in RN school now. |
