Do you think nursing will be one of the highest paying jobs in ten years?

Even now it is very highly paid job in USA,UK and Autralia. The demand for qualified nurses are increasing at faster rate than doctors.Liberal insurance policies, hospitaliastion reimbursement by companies govts have increased rate of growth of inpatients in hospitals.good luck.
Yes, I believe so, unless you get "burnout".
Yes because so many baby boomers are aging at the same time
Basically any job in the geriatrics field, the aging field, should be well paid in the near future.
it depends on the state..I live in Washington state and know several nurse's who live here and work in Cal. or Idaho because the pay is so much better ..so much so they can afford to commute back here every weekend!!And still make a lot more!
You can make $7000/mo in california working only 3 days, so if it gets better than that...weeeee!!
no...think about it: everyone keeps hyping the nursing shortage (which is true but i think it's more to do with the paper-pushers who don't realize how much time we really need per patient and so understaff facilities)...anyways, the shortage gets hyped and people think the pay is great for what measly bit of work they think we do. everyone starts going to nursing school to get in on it. result: too few jobs, high competition, and lower wages. example: our county has a 25-bed hospital. the county next to us has 2 community colleges (but a *real* hospital!), one of which is slowly going over to medical field only. they crank out 30 lpns per semester (only one of the schools has the program), 40 rns apiece (80 total) a year for transitional programs, and another 40 each every 5 semesters for the traditional ASN program. then there are the ones who go away for a BSN and come back. cna's here make the same as fast-food workers. lpns make the same as an unskilled factory worker. rns are only another $4-5. more. so...nope.
already happening here. i now drive 1 1/2 hours one way for a decent job at decent pay and the gas prices are killing me.
