Nurse or Teacher? |
Which job is better? Which do you get more money in? What are the advantages and disadvantages of each job? How many years of uni do you need to do in Australia to become a nurse or teacher? Thank you to who ever answers =) TEACHER FOR LONG TERM...... AND OFF SUMMERS AND WEEKENDS AND NIGHTS... AND BETTER RETIREMENTS.... AND ALL HOLIDAYS......SHORT WORK DAYS AND SUCH.... Nurse! Nursing pays better in the US anyway. better? Teacher...not as much death or poop money? Nurse.....Starting out vs. public school teacher k-12 adv? teacher....summer off, Nurse....short work week years of uni...AUSTRALIA!?!?! Dang it all....I answered for what I know about U.S. nurse pays more and requires a lot more schooling than teachers, but nurses have a lot of work days and teachers have like a set schedule. ill let you decide for the things i have here. 1. Teacher 2. Nurse 3. Nurse, have to do gross things: Teacher, have to deal with kids, teacher and nurse help people 4. I have no clue Nurses will make more money as there is a greater shortage of nurses. Teachers tend to have better more stable benefits.....however pay for performance is less common because you are more likely to be a govt employee than a private sector employee (nurses tend to be private sector). You can be a nurse in the US with as little as 2 years post high school education....most teachers require 6 years. However with nursing the more education you et the higher you get paid......but 6 years education for nursing generally equals a lot more $$ than a starting teacher. My prejudice says go with nursing unless summers and holidays off is really important to you.l |
