I want to become a nurse.. Help!? |
I want to work as a nurse on the "Baby floor" of the hospital. What all would this job include and how many years of college? Any thing will help! Thanks =) An RN associate degree will take 2 years of college and a Bachelor of Science in Nursing will take 4 years of college. Plus you'll need to meet the science prerequisites before entering any nursing program (usually 2 years). There are even LPNs (licensed vocational nurses with a 2 year degree) who work on the maternity ward. Not all nurses on a maternity ward are master's level nurse practitioner specialists. Neonatal nurses work in a clinics, hospitals, and neonatal intensive care units and care for a wide range of babies, including healthy infants, infants with chronic health problems, infants with acute, life-threatening illnesses. Neonatal Nurse Practitioners (master's level nurses) may also conduct research, act as a consultant, or provide education to both staff and families. Good luck! Source(s): How to become a nurse: http://www.allnursingschools.com/faqs/be... 4 years 鈾犫櫍鈾モ櫐鈧р櫔鈾櫔鈾檪鈾€ You haven't revealed which country you are from, but if you are in the UK, then you will have to complete 3 years in University & undertake a degree..... I believe you have to go through medical school no matter for what speciality you are going for. You may have to work your way up to the "baby floor" Probably about 4 years of schooling. you mean the maternity ward? 4 years if you go to a regular college and 2 years if you go to a vocational school. i recommend a vocational. it is more expensive but you will finish much faster and if you choose the right school, you will get hired faster too. good luck |
