First of all it depends what type of nurse your going to be. RN or LPN. My wife has an A.S. Degree in nursing and works in a hospital making the same amount as the nurses who have a B.S. Degree. My wife claims that the only difference in a BS and an AS is that you can't go into administrative nursing eg. director of nursing. A lot of people make the mistake that people who graduate with and AS are not real nurses or are not RN. NOT TRUE.
