Dialysis nurse said she could not hear blood in new bypass in arm of patient. Told him he had a blood clot and had to take Plavix and to see his Doctor on Monday to repair surgery. Since this was on a Saturday, the patient was a nervous wreck until Monday when Dr. told him there was good blood flow. She is not qualified to diagnose, she should not have this job.
I dont know where you are but I believe in the USA a Doctor is required to be available for any dialysis so he can deal with any emergencies.
I would lodge a complaint to the place and the nurse should receive extra training. |
