Jobs in the Air Force?

Well now my best girlfriend wants to go the Airforce, i think she is suppose to talk to the recuiter next week, but want's to know what jobs won't put her into much danger?. I told her if that she fears danger that she should not go. I think she is only going for college purposes, she is also afraid of getting sexually assaulted, i told her i didn't know anything about that. So what jobs are out there for her if shes afraid? I think she is going into nursing. And what can she do not to get violated?

There are all kinds of medical jobs in the Air Force, but she'd have to go to college and get a commission to become a nurse because all nurses are officers. As for sexual assault, the Air Force has cracked down BIGTIME on sexual misconduct since the incident at the Academy, so all she needs to know is (1) Sexual assault WILL NOT BE TOLERATED, (2) She just needs to take the normal precautions like using the buddy system and not drinking anything that she has taken her eyes off of, even for a minute, and (3) Those who commit acts of sexual assault will be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the Uniform Code of Military Justice, however, if -- Heaven forbid -- something did happen to her and she wasn't sure about reporting it, she can STILL get help through the Base Sexual Assault Response Coordinator. Her best job would be a civilian if she thinks that way, and you have more of a chance to be sexually assaulted in civilian life than the military!
She should look for a career field she thinks will be interesting and she will enjoy. If it's nursing, she'll probalby need that degree prior to going on active duty. Finallly, she's probably safer in the USAF than in civilian life, but the same precautions apply.
