What is the average salary of a nurse? |
I want to go to nursing school, is it worth it? I'm really into going into the medical field, it's always interested me, however, I want to be smart when I go to college and take coarses that will be worth my time and effort, and of coarse... money. I want to love my job but money is important to me. I want to find a career in the medical field that has the least schooling but most money (comparatively), of coarse I plan on 5 years or over of school. The salary/remuneration for a particular job is the market value for a particular profession and designation at the city/town where the office is located. The Govt Dept of Labor, (www.bls.gov) Bureau of statistics has information about median salaries for different professions and details of additional compensation offered. Other online resources are salary.com and payscale. Your salary will also depend on your educational qualification and how you handle your career.
