Are those entry-level marketing jobs on CareerBuilder and Monster legitimate? |
I see so many of them whenevr I'm looking through the websites. Like the previous "posters" I agree, the jobs are legitamate but are they worth your time and effort? Not really. I went on three interviews for so called "great entry level marketing and p.r. jobs" and the first one I stood outside of a Wal-Mart trying to convince people to buy a finger print kit for their children as well as push other merchandise. It was cold, I ended up leaving...it was alos commission only and those GREAT yearly figures are ficticious!!!! The second, they wanted me to stand around downtown and get people to take surveys and or purchase merchandise. The third one I left as soon as I was told the nature of the work and di dnot even bother wasting another day. Those crappy ones where you talk to uninterested customers on the telephone for hours and get paid poorly? Yes, those are legitimate -- there are tons of jobs like that, unfortunately. I agree with the previous response. Unfortunately, they are legitimate, but are a waste of time to even apply for. |
