Which major would be more applicable to government jobs ? finance or marketing ? |
Thanks In Government no marketing is involved except in Government owned manufacturing units. But Finance is all pervasive and it plays a major role in formulating , allocating of budgets to various departments and monitoring them !! That depends on the roles and responsibilities that you are looking for. If you work as a publicist or take a communication position, marketing would be more applicable. If you want to work in an office, crunch numbers, manage departments or operations, finance would be more applicable. Overall I would say finance. Take a look at some courses offered at various MPA programs and you will get a good idea what public sector employers are looking for. |
