What r various the types of consultant jobs available?

i am interested in consultation and want to pursue it seriuosly.but i want to know what r the various consultant jobs available in todays job market and what is the type of work.please give me details of all of them.

There are consultants who specialize in strategic planning, sales, marketing, IT, HR, productivity and efficiency improvement, corporate and investment finance, mergers and acquisitions, operations, and virtually every other profession you can think of.
So its upto you which field you want to specialize in..

Also pls note that today in IT , ERP consultants are in huge demand...Good IT companies like Accenture , Infosys , TCS, Wipro etc are paying well....

Please let us know what is you strength. Consultancy is not an easy job. For that you need to have a Good experience. Simply having education is not enough. Practical exposure is needed.

I think you have to first clear your concept about CONSULTANTS per se.......

Consultants are independent / freelance people who give advice / do a job for a person / company on paid basis but are actually not hired by the customer as an employee.

A consultant can be anyone like doctor, engineer, lawyer, financial expert etc etc.

There are no consultant 'jobs' as such in the market. If you have a particular set of skills like the ones I mentioned earlier, are capable of working independently, and have good communication abilities, you can start providing consultancy to clients of your related field........ and then, depending upon your performance, reliability, and reputation, more more people will approach you for their projects.
