Is MBA in Marketing is different from Master of Marketing Research?

Which one has more scope in job market?

yes its different.
MBA in marketing actuallly touches topics in marketing research but Master of marketing research is more specialized since you will be concentrating on a specific field of interest which is very profitable in the long run bec. not many people specialize in a specific field.

Unlike in MBA, there are many people who take up MBA.
Alawys remember that the less people who take up a specialized field (granted there's a need for it) has less competition, is sought after due to shortage of skilled people in the field and hence can demand more pay.

and by the way, any product to be launched, or needs a boost, or has a competitor in mind will always pay for a market research done before they can implement their activities/commercials/product line launch. even the taste of a medicine for kids is tested bec its crucial to the sales bec bad taste is a no sale..

MBA in marketing would give u a feel of all the functions of marketing right from sales to strategising the marketing policies, this would include pricing promotion and even research about the product's segmenting targetting and positioning. in case of masters in marketing research the scope is altogether different this would mainly deal with surveys when u have a particular problem in hand and what kind of survey /research would help u solve that. there are certain sopecialised firms who go in for this talent, and scope of growth would be limited to them. in case of MBA not only ur options are vast u can easily move to market research whenever u want to

yes, the two are quite different. In the general job market, the MBA in Marketing has more scope and flexibility. With that degree you get generalized and broad education regarding business management as well as marketing. You can apply for numerouse positions because of the qualification. (from Finance Director, to Marketing Manager, etc.)

A Master of Marketing Research is more specialized and career specific. For instance that degree would be perfect to help you get a job analyzing buying trends of a particular product of a company. Also, because that degree is specialized, you would qualify to teach at a junior college (because they typically require 18 hours in the subject you are going to teach...something an MBA doesn't get you without taking the extra courses).

Good Luck!
