What are the jobs that are most and least likely to be outsourced? |
I'd like to hear from people who are familiar with the job market and who know the criteria involved when it comes to outsourcing. I'm sure there will be a lot more complicated answers than mine, but in my experience lately any type of job you do/can do from a cubicle is subject to outsourcing; it doesn't seem to matter if its computer, technical, company (like insurance) and any type of phone support or ordering/buying. These are also usually the companies that don't really care what your college degree is in, just that you have it. I know this isn't a direct answer to your question, but you should pick up the book 'The World is Flat' by Thomas Friedman. He develops this question in great detail, and it's a great read! |
