Is Marketing a good degree to get? How are the jobs?

Is it hard to get a job with Lilly, GlaxioSmithKline, AstraZeneca, Merck, Bristol-Meyers Squibb or Roche? I have no sales experience....I have also heard these jobs are short lived.

I have known a few pharmeceutical reps- they all majored in marketing or pharmacy- you will get sales experience in the degree because you will take classes like personal selling and sales techniques, negotiation, etc.- while you get your degree I would work part-time in something to do with sales- even if its shoes or working in a small shop-then maybe after graduating do an internship- you should be set then to make the big money
