Is Marketing a good degree to get? How are the jobs?


Is it hard to get a job with Lilly, GlaxioSmithKline, AstraZeneca, Merck, Bristol-Meyers Squibb or Roche? I have no sales experience....I have also heard these jobs are short lived.

Absolutely! I do marketing and creative communications, design and advertising - so there's lots of variety for creative people, even with large pharma companies like you listed. A creative resume gets the attention of the Human Resource departments in those companies; don't wait for a job listing - just apply!
Marketing jobs is the same thing as a sales job if you don't have experience then you should start with a small business company before you try to approach a public company.
