How scarce are CCNA-certified jobs? Is relocation generally required? |
I hope to have my CCNA certification soon, but I'm not sure what the job market is like out there. Are the CCNA jobs hard to get/plentiful? Do most cities have openings for them, possibly including smaller cities (i.e. 50,000-75,000 people), or does one have to settle for working in a big metro area? CCNA's are always going to be needed because it is a way of seperating yourself from non-certified people not to mention that you have or had at one point or another the knowledge to learn and comprehend the resources that come with knowing CCNA information. Unfortunately the CCNA certification is the most common Cisco certification to obtain so my advice to you would be to not stop with the CCNA and continue on with the rest of the Cisco certifications. I would also suggest that you to move to a metro area so that you could find more jobs than just 1 or 2 that you might find in a small area. Good Luck if you are talking about a cert. nurse's assistant job, they are plentiful in small towns in the south. if you're not talking about that kind of cna, disregard. CCNA jobs are becoming more more scarce and the US due to the nature of the beast. of course Cisco will allways be used but outsourcing is common in todays market. and you will have to move to the big cities in order to obtain a job. and the pay has decreased tremendously over the past few years. so good luck and happy job hunting the MadDmaNn Try gooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo... it http://www.google.com/ Get intouch with http://www.gatestraining.com for enquiries on CCNA, CCNP, MCSE, etc., |
