I was thinking of moving to Miami and I wondered is there a job market for any type of Management Jobs? There are tons of those types of jobs but they don;t pay well. My ex gf had a business degree and worked as a business manager, she quit and worked as a waitress at Chili's because she made more. Florida has jobs up the ying yang. Anyone can get a job there, only, the pay scale is lower than the northern states. I've lived in Miami for 37 of my 40 years. If you have skills and speak fluent Spanish as well as English, come on down. If you don't speak Spanish, forget it. At the 1990 census, Miami was 57% Spanish, I think the 2000 census it was 69% (not sure on that one). If you don't speak Spanish, don't bother... It's incredibly difficult to be hired. i just moved out of miami and living in fort lauderdale, if you are planning to come down to miami, save yourself a trip because there are haitian you have to battle and spanish as well, in miami in general all the good job has been taken and negioate by them, my friend had a $50,000 job as a manager until his company hired a bunch of illegal banana boat immigration he got cut on a job for a lower wage. there are no such thing is good job any more in florida maybe try up in central florida like orlando Go to these job websites and see what's going on in Miami: hotjobs.com monster.com herald.com Good luck! you know what i live in Miami & yes it is hard to get a job if you dont speak spanish ; but just bc you dont speak spanish doesnt mean you have to knock on other spanish speaking people ... some places would perfer a spanish speaking person being that Miami is full of Latinos, but if ur qualifications are what they need & they NEED to hire they will give you the job. not everyone has qualifications for every position in Miami - i am bilingual born & raised in Miami & have a college degree & i myself am having hard time finding a decent paying job. after 911 most places have cut everyones pay & since the war our economy in general for the US has gone to sh!t ( gas prices, insurance, low income, ect... everything is getting more & more expensive & no one wants to pay.) Ft. Lauderdale has better paying positions than Miami & anywhere you go connections will get your foot in the door. good luck ! 鈾?br /> ps- to the guy that called harmless people " bunch of illegal banana boat immigration " those banana boat imigrants probably work harder than you - so show some respect bc according to you your friend got the pay cut not you so you shouldnt be so defensive. (FYI i am of cuban decent & what those people do to escape their lifes in Cuba is respectable & very brave ; so next time you wanna talk sh!t SHOVE IT DOWN YOUR THROAT INSTEAD !! Good luck. Pay sucks and things cost $$$ |
