I have a perfect idea for you and a little information. I have made this transition myself and can tell you that there can be some surprises. You must look at the whole business picture and make sure that you are qualified (and that there is enough time in the day) to do everything. Often times, people working for a company may only be performing one or two roles. When they go out on their own they suddenly become the boss, the secretary, accounts payable, accounts receivable, the salesman, the shipping department and the janitor.

Make sure that you either plan to do all of these duties yourself, or that you plan a budget that would allow you to share some of these duties with some immediate employees. If your are trying to juggle too many jobs yourself, your sales department will fall down. Less sales means less money coming in. Be careful!
