Jobs in Vancouver Ca?

what is the job market like in vancouver canada?
considering some construction training and carpentry prior to relocating there.

Just moved to Vancouver a couple of weeks ago - construction, architecture work has loads of jobs at the moment because of the upcoming winter olympics. The way the agencies and jobs work here, though, is very much based on going and seeing people and then following up calls constantly - it's their way of testing to see how enthusiastic you are about the job...which, having working the UK and NZ is a bit weird - you really have to put pressure on the agencies to find you a job or they'll just ignore you and put forward the people who do hassle them.
