I'm thinking of moving out of Michigan because of the slow economy- there are no jobs!?

Does anyone know which state has the best job market, or the best growth? I have a degree in HR, and my boyfriend works in the concrete business, if that helps at all. We're thinking maybe Florida or Arizona, but I've heard that the cost of living is extremely high compared to MI.

michigan sux my dad lost his job to GM there years ago so we moved a short distance to a place here in indiana my advice is anyplace is better than michigan i lived in saginaw, flint and burton....burton was nice but that was in 1988 i cant imagine how it is now.......

i hate those who buy any vehicle that isnt american its the reason why my dad lost his job......lol

Well, Birmngham has an unemployment rate of 2.8% (one tenth above Orlando's, the nation's lowest). Plus a really big construction business.

And forget all those preconceived notions you've heard about Alabama. I'm from Chicago and we moved here five years ago. We're never going back!
