What should I say or not say in a marketing, business job interview? |
What should I say or not say in a marketing, business job interview? Practice makes perfect. Have a friend give you a practice interview and tape it if possible. You will quickly see where you could improve your presentation, Never let the other person know anything about you, or your financil problems(if you have any) Confine yourself to your qualifications for the job at hand. Your schooling and experience. Some interviewers like to ask questions along the lines or what do you consider your greatest flaw or your worst shortcoming. Make sure you answer that by saying something like; your greatest flaw is that your like to see your work completed as near to perfect as humanly possible and that your worst shortcoming is working too hard at times. In other words, something that would reflect well on you even in a backhanded manner. Keep your personal life out of it, no boyfriend or mother talk. Be very positive about your life and experiences, no bad mouthing a previous job or boss, if your resume shows something less than sterling then point out it was a learning/wake up experience for you that proved valuable in the long run. Do a bit of research on the company you are interviewing for so you can speak intelligently on its accounts aims, position in its industry. Know the range of salary for the position in case they ask. Use the internet for this info. Good Luck |
