What is a job in marketing like?

I'm in marketing and love it. You should have a college degree, good communication skills, and be proficient in basic math.

Responsibilities of marketers vary greatly by company. Normally your responsible for the success as measured by profit of a product or line of products. To be successful you must act as the middle man between sales, manufacturing, advertising, finance, product development, etc. plus have a lot of customer contact.

You rarely do the same thing on a given day. There's intense pressure, but you'll never be bored.

In short, a marketing job is a job you do with the aim of bringing clients to buy a certain product.
