Marketing is directly related to sales and customer service because marketing is the process of planning and executing the conception, pricing, promotion and distribution of ideas, goods, and services to create exchanges that satisfy individual and organizational objectives. As a sales person, you have found out what a customer wants in a product and how much they are willing to pay, and as a customer service person, have learned how to work with customers to create a positive buying experience...or to rectify a bad one.
