Why are people lieing about China using slave labor? |
I am a Chinese that live in Beijing and I have notice that a lot of websites in the US claims that China is able to manufacture products at cheap prices because we are using slave labor. I can tell you that it is not true, the real reason our products are cheap is because we Chinese people are hand working and skilled workers. People working in the manufacturing industry in China do so willingly. No one is forced to work in factories, if you don't like your job you can quit any time you want. In fact these jobs are very competitive. People are lining up for hours just to get the job! So tell me, if it is realy as bad as some say, why would they do that? And all thoses people who stand on soap boxes claiming China this or that. Why don't they come here and see for themselves? China is a safe country, you will be welcom treated with respect. So why are they just setting in their homes, and unwilling to listen? reason behind that are american politicians who envy that the chinese economy is booming, while theirs is on a imminent slump. the USA has been undermining other developing countries since the 60's. they always claim that they are eager to help. but the outcome does not speak the same. the salaries in china maybe small compared to the american counterparts. but their food and other resources are also a lot cheaper than their american counterparts. the chinese just want their society to be stable without outside help, and i do admire that. but the americans are jealous of this. they want to be better than the rest. but i think it is backfiring. just take an example, they help the philippine army in combatting terror. but at the same time, US Marine Corporal Daniel Smith with his friends gang raped a young filipino woman. and he was found guilty at the end. it is the same thing. look at iraq, they claim that they freed the people of iraq from saddam husein. but at what cost? the war killed many people. theire soldiers was found guilty of abuses at abu graib, and another was found guilty of raping, killing and cleaning evidences. i believe that americans should clean up their act first, before going out and criticizing others. Minimum wage there is sooo small... I don't mean to offend you in any way. I believe they are referring to the low wages as compared to an American Manufacturer. There may be a little bit of exaggeration in the term "slave". The wages are certainly not the same or anywhere near close to that of the US and many other countries, or it would not make profitable sense to have taken the job off shore in the first place. so you are saying that Cjina DOES NOT use prison labor to build or manufacture anything at all?...wow...I was wrong again...thats makes twice now in my 52 years...guess Im getting old No, the reason China is able to manufacture products at dirt cheap prices is because the workers are overworked and underpaid. Technically not slave labour but realistically yes. Of course the people work willingly, it's paid work. Really low paid work. And because you have such a large population, of course there are people ready to jump in if someone has had enough. Everyone wants a job. Eventually wages will go up but just as in the USA the bosses will have made their fortunes and their families will never live in poverty. They will only ever work as high paid executives and will always be able to trace their disgusting family tree back to the parasites they came from. I can see why you are upset. You don't want to see the truth. It would be better if you came and had a look at Western countries rather than me come to see your country and your work practices. However I am sure that China is a beautiful country with beautiful people. It's just that politicians make everything disgusting. Your politicians are just as disgusting as Western politicians. By the way America's minimum wage is a disgrace for such a rich country and they use prison labour for state and local work. Many convicted people are also given the choice of whether to serve a prison sentence or serve in the Army. |
