Why haven't more companies outsoursed jobs and productions of Goods to Mexico instead of Mexico ?? |
This would mean more jobs for Mexicans. Could cut down on illegal immigrants coming into the usa. Faster and cheaper tranport costs of goods into the usa. friendlier realtionship with mexico then with China. I though NAFTA was meant to help the usa, cananda and mexico , central american trade Not Chinese trade ??!! 5 days agoNo. I'm saying shift most of the current chinese factories and jobs to Mexico. what would you do with the un-employment in the US if you outsourced all the jobs. We outsource too much now. I assume you are asking why haven't more jobs and factories been created in Mexico rather than China. The usual answer is profit. If you can manufacture something cheaper in China than in Mexico, you'll go to China. Yes, the transportation costs to the US should be less from Mexico than China, so to justify the use of the China the total cost of the production must be low enough to account for the increased transportation costs. Friendlier relationships and cutting down on illegal immigration are probably small factors in most corporate decisions. Money and profit usually rule the day. |
