No; the war in Afghanistan was fought because "the friend of my enemy is my enemy." The government of Afghanistan refused to turn over information or suspects from al-Qaeda following 9/11. The Taliban were very vocal, and monetarily generous, in their support of al-Qaeda before and after 9/11. They sponsored and protected several terrorist training camps within Afghanistan. We invaded in order to put the terrorists out of business, thereby forestalling further attacks.
All of the incidents you mention are unconnected. Despite what the conspiracy theorists of the world think, the US government and President Bush do not have their hands on the levers of power all the time, and are not conspiring to make life bad for the rest of the world.

The Russian Afghanistan war stems back to the Great Game going back centuries, and also a cynical move on the part of Soviet leadership to support a Soviet leader installed with Russian help. Our involvement had something to do with the Taliban.
Granted the US has been eyeing a pipeline accross the country as a boon to corporations in the energy field, UNICOL , I think, but the real reason was to go after the govenment that permitted the 9/11 planners to operate on their soil.
China is a communist nation.Weather its the Republicans or Democrats.Commies are commies,why would the US fight a war and loose thousands of life's fighting and protecting civilians just for the sake of China which is a Communist state!
Its out of the question,use your own head.Why would the US want to make room for the chinese labourers?
China has enough land and resources to surpass the work and the time given to normal American workers.
And besides China does'nt need US help,its military is strong enough to wipe out all of south asia on its own.
