Is it safe to say that gas is higher because of demand around the world? |
Is it also safe to say that ONE of the biggest reasons gas is higher is because China`s etc. economy is growing fast and DEMAND is higher from malti-national Corps. outsource US jobs to China Etc. so profits rise from cheap labor so we pay less at big stores for stuff but our gas is higher because of DEMAND. Let's also not leave out the GREED FACTOR ! Im not so sure about that. But i do know that its safe to say oil prices are high because middle east countries are gouging the prices for their own personal benefit. And its not that the demand keeps going up. Its that the supply/ suppliers are going down. Modified 1 year ago lets not forget that U.S. refineries have to make 40 different blends for 40 different states,if we would just take the fuel made for the strictest state and make it a national fuel blend than supplies would rise,gas prices fall.one blend for all. right know gas made for texas can not be used in california,thats are problem. This is merely a question of supply and demand. Gas prices are rising in the U.S. for a myriad of reasons. One of the most recent events, Katrina, knocked out Gulf supply. There was the same demand, but less supply. That caused prices to go up. Also, in Brazil, Russia, India and China (BRIC countries) the economies are booming and more people are driving. This causes an increase in demand with the same supply. This also causes gas prices to inflate. british gas transco ect are all profit making companys so of course the price will go up for what ever reason is going |
