10 points to whoever answers this question accuretly first!!! whole sale and manufactering price question? |
say you want to buy some tvs and the whole sale price is 10 tvs for 1000 dollors what would the price be if you bought it from the manufacterer? and is it possible to sell in bulk to other salesmen in significant quantiteis? so they can sell on ebay or where ever? if i miss spelt anything im sorry im just learning english i moved here from china trying to get a job in buissness That is a question with no answer. A wholesaler can set their price at whatever they want, so there is no way to tell just from the wholesale price what the manufacturer price is. Likewise, the markup in certain industries and for certain products in vastly different from the markup for other industries and products. For example, I used to be the manager of a restaurant. Our profit margin on steaks was about 18% while out profit margin on most appetizers was about 200%. In fact, we made the majority of our money on drinks and appetizers and hardly anything on entrees. Likewise, I used to sell Honda cars. We made about 6-8% profit on Accords and Civics while we made about 50-60% profit on Elements and Odesseys. Likewise, large vendors like Best Buy or Wal-Mart get a different rate from the manufacturers than a smaller store like the TV store are the mall because they buy in bulk. I would guess, however, that there is an average markup of about 15-25% by the manufacturer, so if the wholesale price is $1000 I would guess that the manufacturer price is about $750-850 and the retail price would be about $1150-1250. I do know that stores like Wal-Mart do not buy from wholesalers and just deal directly with manufacturers, which is how they keep their price advantage... I would guess you'd pay $20-25 FOB Factory Door...perhaps lower. Don't forget to add freight, Duty Taxes..... No problem with your English. I wish I had linguistic ability like that in English as well as other languages. Keep Smiling! whole sale price is the same as the manufactur price they both mean the same thing your buying it from who makes it versus buying it from the retailer which makes the middle man price mark up A manufacturer will most likely NOT sell you 10 TV's. It's too small an order for them to bother with. Also, there isn't a set price when you buy from the manufacturer. It will depend on qty, warranty, payment terms, shipping terms, return privileges, and most of all, the buyers power in the retail market (i.e. WalMart). Good luck -- Consumer Electronics is a tough business to get into. Worked for a TV manufacturer. |
