Is outsourcing how the Third World gets revenge on the First World?

...as I read about several thousand more Nortel job cuts as jobs move from Canada and the US to Mexico, China, India...

First you must see the bottom line (Making Money, Greed). Why as a business man should I pay a Canadian or US citizen 10 - 12 an hour, when I can pay a third world person 10 - 12 a day and no unions. Do the math. As in Nortel look at the processing (pollutants with plastics) the laws are non existent or very lenient. The cost to do business over there is alot cheaper.

Its how the Third world gets elevated from hell-holes to reasonable living wages and conditions. They in turn become new consumers in the global economy rather than money-pits for foreign aid, charity, etc.
Pretty stupid question. First of all, Mexico, China and India are not third world countries. Second, other countries don't get to dictate what work Canadian and American companies outsource. That is up to the companies themselves.The idea that it is revenge is ludicrous.
Interesting way of looking at it. I wonder if in 40 years China will have a version of "World Vision" to help North American children. By the way, the poor in those countries are not benefit ting. China, which started as a Communist country , like the USSR, quickly degenerated into a Despotic dictatorship. The world is splitting even quicker into a Haves/have nots world. Only now it will be about 10% of the people in all nations that will control 90%+ of the worlds wealth.
No. They just work cheaper. Eventually their economies and lifestyles will grow and their populations will demand higher wages and they will no longer be the low cost outsource provider. Some emerging 4th world hell hole will take that role over from them. Its evolutionary. The key is finding employment in the US that can not be sent off shore.
