Could you please tell me some information about to be a massager?

I'm facing to choose a new career in the U.S. I've had a couse of massage and have got a license in China. But I was told I have to get a local license in Ameria if I'd like to do this job here. Could you please give me some information, such as how much I will be charged for the massage school? And roughly how much I can earn by this job? Thanks a lot.

Yes you do have to have certifications to be a masseuse. Each state has its own regulations, and you will probably need to phone or email your state's health department to learn about requirements and whether they will accept your license. Some states have no regulations; just depends upon where you live.

If you have to attend school the tuition can be fairly expensive. I believe that just your first course to get a license is about $2400. But that is for someone who has never had a course anywhere.

Massage therapists are basically self-employed. Some have their own practice and some work at health clubs, chiroprator's offices or spas. To make really good money you need advanced certificates in different type of massage.

Massage costs are usually about $1 a minute. Some people charge more - up to $75 for one hour. If you work for yourself you must consider the cost of an office, of marketing your services, and so on.
