It goes something like this:
We empower China by sending the jobs of our citizens to them which makes them stronger as they build up their war machine whose sole aim is to take us down.
China exports weapons just like we do overseas..but their weapons usually go to enemies of ours to make them stronger.
Iran is weaponized by China and provides those weapons to shia insurgents in Iraq to kill our soldiers as Bush is always reminding us.
We provide weaponry to saudi Arabia and call them our great ally....but 15 of 19 hijackers on 9/11 were saudis, and 45% of the Alquaeda fighters in Iraq are saudis.
Saudis fund the sunni insurgency which also kill our troops.
We provide weapons to Israel which is the enemy of Iran and all other arab/muslim countries in the region. Israel is our ally.
But we provide aid and weapons to egypt and other arab/muslim countries in mideast which are enemies of israel.
I could go on and on...but I think by now you get the gist of this dance As yea sow, so shall yea reap.
We set up Sadam, we lost control, we are now paying.
China does not have to fight us, they are buying us. Once they own everything, they can just throw us all out.
We give weapons to everyone because of MONEY. Lots of money for the military industrial complex.
Bush likes to blame Clinton for appeasing North Korea, but the they restarted the reactor when old Bushy shut down the oil and coal shipments to power the north. And they built the bomb on Bushies watch.
The Axis of Evil was North Korea (going nuclear), Iran (also going nuclear) and Iraq ( total wuss) - so guess who we attacked? Maybe Bush is not a stupid as we all think.
We need to stop trying to turn the rest of the world into little USA's. ( We had a free and fair election in the Palestinian Territory, and the guy we liked didn't win - so we said we won't play with you - nice) If we just go back to being the American we talk about, instead of the shoot em up cowboy that we have become. The rest of the world will go back to loving and respecting us. As for the terrorists, they will always hate us, and it does not matter what we do, that won't change. But we do not have to have the rest of the world hate us as well. I don't know the name of the dance, but the music is "Insane in the Membrane." The dance of profits and nothing else. We gave Saddam his weapons, we promised the Taliban aid then allowed them to be slaughtered....
Sould we as a people be held accountable for our governments actions?
How many voters do you think know the only reason Saddam wasn't expelled by Iran is because of the U.S.?
Is it our job to know? Supposedly, you dont war with trading partners, but I agree with you that sending weapons is a mistake. They always end up being used back on us.
The U.S. should just strenghten itself and no one else.
Don't forget we HIRE chinese and russian scientists and give them top secret info. Think about it this way , there are people who will - with a straight face, ask what you're problem is what exactly?
They would say, do you know what the point spread on Lockheed Martin stocks were last week. That's what's important. How exactly are we supposed to make profits as weapons manufacturer corporatists if there aren't any buyers for the weapons.
And you don't need weapons if you don't have a threat now do you.
Unfortunately most Americans still think US foreign policy is about helping people or freedom or something fuzzy and warm like that.
Why exactly would the government be motivated to inform the people that Santa doesn't exist and that the US government doesn't in fact rescue kittens from trees and hand out candy-bars and shopping malls at every opportunity?
80% of Americans think Roswell was a real.
86% of Americans belive in Santa as a child.
48% of Americans believe in ghosts and
22% say they have actually seen or felt a ghost's presence.
You want to see something haunting , here's Ike's farewell address to the nation , positively frightening.
http://video.google.com/url?docid=-92401... It's the same ole story same ole song and dance my friend.
Aerosmith This is the dance titled "manipulation and stupid money".
Some individuals are stupid and greedy, and will do stupid things because enough is never enough for stupid greedy people.
**Smart** wealthy people would never pursue money in this manipulative fashion (selling weapons, and the chemicles and components of them that are also so grossly chemicle they are hazerdous to the earth and health without even using the weapons.)
The stupids know not what they do. This is a complicated question, but the answer lies in the juggling of U.S. political, social and economic interests in the international community. our companies outsource to china and india, etc... because it is profitable. These companies save money on labor costs and are able to use these profits in other endeavors, such as research and development. The losers in this scenario are the people who are laid-off by the company, but the winners are shareholders and customers/consumers. Unfortunately, fairness does not matter in business.
The advanced countries, such as the US, supply weapons to other nations as a form of cooperation between the countries. The advanced countries weigh the costs, such as rogue groups potentially using these weapons against their interests, and the benefits: closer relations, less red-tape, $, etc...
With regard to the Middle East, the region is so volitile, that it is impossible even for the citizens, politicians, and analysts to predict what will happen next. Unfortunately, Advanced nations tend to capitalize on this instability via weapons transactions, and these weapons eventually end up in the hands of rogue groups. It is even impossible to know if our current ally will be tomorrows enemy. But as long as there is money to be made, Bill Lumberg's stock will go up a quarter of a point. Reminds me of the saying, "when elephants dance... get out of their way! First off, I understand your disillusioned position and disdain for US politics, but there are a few points that must be clarified first.
Sending jobs overseas to China is not a political choice, but one of greedy corporate America. Capitalists chasing after a bigger profit margin and shareholders who do not give a squat. China is also now the largest supporter of the US dollar. They have given us loans and the currency is pegged to the US dollar so that we can still buy goods cheaply. They need to let the fluctuate with the market economy but slowly. China's is not looking to take us down. They are looking to be prosperous like us and to be the number one economy. It just happens to be that we are on top now. Remember, we took someone's place too. Let us not be hypocrites. It's not a political decision.
Countries all over the world are allowed to sell anything to anyone because it is there laws that bind them and not ours. Contrary to what most Americans believe, the US is not the police of the world. But, we are the bully in the playground.
Iran is supplied by weapons from China but we also supplied both Iran and Iraq with weapons. As for currently, we are also supplying the Saudis with weapons. Today we offered a $20 billion weapons package for help with the Iraqis. We supplied Afghanistan with weapons and training to hold back the Russian invasion during the 80s and put the Taliban in power.
We needed and need Israel to keep the Arab nation destabilized. A united Arab front is a bad thing for any country needing oil. The last thing you need is a peaceful middle east where they control the world oil supply. it's bad for economics. I don't like this idea and we need to move toward an alternative, but when they have you by the short and curlies you try and make the best of a shitty situation.
We can look at everything in hindsight and say we F-ed up, but at the time with so many variables making a sound decision is very difficult. Most people who lead this country are privy to information that we are not and need to try and make a viable move, but sometimes the best is not to get involved at all. Oh and BUSH IS A RETARD. |
