Would you protest in front of Walmart and Dollar stores against China products? IF so would this get our Govt?

to realize we wanat American made and force China to find a new meal ticket or maybe God forbid make China treat their people and animals better in the end? How do we bring back our manufacturing to America? I always look to see where things are made and its getting tougher to see anything made in America! Can we all spend 10 cents more and keep jobs here and America our main manufacturers?

With labor unions trying to dominate the workforce in America, you would pay a whole lot more than 10 cents more.

manufacturing in America is gone for ever. We have transformed into a service economy and we are never going back. Thus, there isn't a point to protest in front of Wal Mart and Dollar stores because they provide us with excellent prices and they give jobs that pay a lot more to Chinese people than they can get in their own country.

China is much powerful that these movements arent gonna stop those

Protesting won't do anything to bring back manufacturing. War might bring back some manufacturing, but that's about it.

It's called voting with your dollars, and too many people don't give a crap because they are just trying to make ends meet. They need cheap Chinese made crap to make their budget work.

It's a capitalism paradox.

Whats funny, is Cosco, JC Penny, sears, park belks, target all sell the exact same products that walmart does, made in the exact same factories.

But people want to critise Walmart, but never mention the other retailers.

Will people buy american products over foreign made goods ?

No they won't.

We have seen the enemy, and it is us.

Levi Straus lost money 5 years straight, before they finally shut down the American Factory and moved production overseas.

Why?

Because Americans would rather pay $5.00 less for jeans made overseas, than buy American.

I laugh when I hear people say they refuse to shop at Walmart, then they go to Target and buy the same Chinese made products they refused to buy at Walmart.

So, don't blame the retailers, blame yourself and your neighbors. Your the ones who buy foreign made products over american made products.

See your missing the point Americans want all the benifiets of cheap labor and lax enviromental policies, just not the yucki(eeeewwwwww) mess that goes with it. Like fair labor standards and such. Did you know that Over 90% of our shrimp comes from china????

Why I ask you, because enviromental policies in this country have made it impossible to compete with countries that do not have such regulations.

So rrather than pay attention and realize that most shoes are made in Indonesia. Where the government brutally controls Child labor. So your Nike's are made by some 6 Year old in indonisia, but you just look the other way becaseu you like Nike's.

So we have reserved ourselves to buying cheap crap from countries that exploit their population. WE are addicticted to cheap crap just as much as Oil. So americans just turna blind Eye to what is really going on in the world and tune in to Paris Hilton or Anna nicole smith.

Just keep sticking your head in the sand America, It will totally save you from all the "Bad" things in the world.
