Is there a gay bar in Macau China? |
My roommate is thinking of taking a great job there, his job here kinda sucks. It'd be a two year contract. I'm not try to persuade nor dissuade him- just give him some facts. (he as most gay men does like the gay life) China is not known as a gay tourist "must go" just wondering if there is something or anything. There are probably several gay bars in Macau... they probably just aren't heavily advertised because technically they aren't allowed. Tourbooks for Macau like Lonely Planet *might* mention them. Once he gets to Macau I'm sure he can meet some locals and they'll give him the skinny. In 2005 the only gay bar in Macau shut down, and LGBT people now usually go to HK or some other nearby city for gay bars. I don't know if the situation has changed sine 2005, though. meny may have been demolished but a gaybar can be found anywhere in the world. |
