What type of jobs do Indians get abroad?

Do Indians get only low-level jobs in other developed countries (UK, EU, US, Canada, Australia, etc), or do they get offers for higher (managerial) posts as well? I am an engineer with an MBA. What job profile should I look for in these countries? As an engineer, or as a manager?

Definitely as an engineer and than a manager. I dont think Indians get low level jobs here, we get the greatest jobs here compared to other race in America. Its really about what computer skills you have, good english, and ability to market yourself (extrovert). Keep in mind that whenever you have a degree from UK, India, Canada, etc its not equated the same level as an American degree. So if you have a Master's degree, than its accredited as you have a bachelors, and further studies, but you are not accrediedt at American MBA level. I know this because I work in the top IT industry and I'm a desi. I live in the U.S and studying for MBA, I have a cousin who completed his bachelors in India but when he came here in U.S, they told him he didnt have an accredited bachelors degree, but since he had good work experience back home, he landed a job as a software engineer. He's making really good money. As for me, I get paid a little more than him because i have an accredited bachelors from the U.S and I work as a Project Manager, but with him, he still needs to go back to school here to be considered in an American Bachelor's degree. So again, indians dont get low level jobs, if you have the skills and willing to be market yourself well, you can land a good job. Dont be shy during interview process. You sound smart and I'm sure you will be fine.
It all depends. You can be both. In Singapore, we do not care about race but more on qualification. I have worked with many Indians from consultant to Project Manager.
